R.J. Romeo, Esq.
Entertainment industry veteran, attorney and entrepreneur, R.J. Romeo’s career has spanned over 24 years in the music and live events industries. R.J.’s career began as a lighting/roofing technician giving him a backbone of experience in concert production. Graduating law school and leading the entertainment law division at a premiere Omaha firm, provided R.J. with a unique skill set that prepared him for his current role as President at Romeo Entertainment Group (“REG”).
R.J. secures talent for, consults, and services a variety of major events including Ashley for the Arts, Boots in the Park, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Coastal Country Jam, Country Jam USA, Fremont Street Experience, Greeley Independence Stampede, Mississippi Valley Fair, Pendleton Whisky Music Festival, and many others. R.J. also oversees the operations of BERO Entertainment Group, Grayscale Event Marketing, and Colossal Events Group, REG’s operations and logistics division, marketing division, and brand partnerships divisions respectively. As President & CEO of REG, R.J. guides the strategic vision, planning and operations for the company. R.J. also continues to provide REG’s clients with support in talent buying, consulting, event problem solving, artist contract and rider negotiations, production issues, security planning, venue layout, emergency management planning, and dispute resolution matters.
R.J. is also Co-Owner of Rome Phrey Publishing a boutique publishing company helping to guide the songwriting career of #1 recording artist Elvie Shane. R.J. is the recipient of the 2014 International Entertainment Buyers Association’s (IEBA) Fair Buyer of the Year Award and in 2018 received both the Academy of Country Music Don Romeo Talent Buyer of the Year Award as well as the IEBA Fair Buyer of the Year Award. R.J. is a professional member of the following organizations: IEBA, Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Nebraska and Tennessee Bar Associations, and Nashville Bar Association. R.J. is currently on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for IEBA. R.J. is a graduate of Leadership Music Class of 2020.
